As you are probably aware, implementation of Phase 2 of the National Johne’s Action Plan is already underway and it is anticipated that later this year vets will be asked by processors to sign declarations confirming that:

  • Dairy farms have undertaken an assessment of their Johne’s risk and status
  • An agreed control plan has been established that is compliant with one of the six strategies set out in the National Johne’s Management Plan.

This will bring additional challenges in ensuring compliance with the Plan and achieving commercial benefits for both the farmer and the vet.

With this in mind, NMR has pulled together a panel of Johne’s experts to deliver a series of special one-day CPD events taking place across the country in September and October. The full program and details of the dates and locations can be found here.

These events are designed for those vets who have completed BCVA’s online training and want to strengthen their understanding of both the technical aspects of effective Johne’s control and the social and economic influences on decision making.

To attend one of these events at a cost of just £70 plus VAT per delegate, please complete and return the attached registration form.
