Dairy UK have through their Action Group Johne’s developed a draft proposal for a National Johne’s Management Plan(NJMP). This will be announced at the Dairy Uk Johne’s Conference at Sixways Stadium, Worcester on Tuesday 18th November.
The focus for the day will also be on the practical delivery of the six control strategies for JD and how vets and farmers working together can create a robust control plan for their herds.
Michael Collins from Wisconsin will deliver a global view on progress with JD control. Charles Harrison will share his experiences of JD control through his Nuffield Scholarship in 2012 and Sam Strain will advise how Northern Ireland are progressing with their own scheme.
