Home / News / Johne’s Programme Updates

We have recently updated the Johne’s risk and prevalence predictors in our Disease Manager Plus module in light of new science and understandings. The questions in these sections have also been simplified to make them easier to complete and reduce the risk of error.

These changes mean you can now predict both the current and future risk of herds being infected with Johne’s with even greater accuracy and see whether any Johne’s prevention plans you have in place are likely to work!

We have also updated the available help files – of particular note is a new ‘Understanding Johne’s Prevalence’ document, which explains some of the background behind testing and how and why our prevalence predictor is so useful in determining the future Johne’s status of the herd.

N.B. In order for the updates to be reflected, you will need to update the ‘Risk of Spread’ questions in the Disease Risk Status section of Disease Manager Plus.
