Database Disease Control

The Myhealthyherd program operates as a secure web based database.

Myhealthyherd is much more than a website!

There are several levels of access to the program. As a member farmer you have access to all areas of the site. However in order for you to gain the maximum benefit from the program you need to link to a Myhealthyherd vet practice. Your vet has the ability to assign disease statuses and edit lab results as well. The more farmers that join up within your vet practice the better as this will also allow your vet to contrast and compare herds. Farmers can also link up with other farming groups or industry partnersĀ for the benefits or local or regional disease control. The Farmer and Vet have full access to the program while a third party, such as a project organiser or producer group, would only have limited access to monitor progress with a specific health programme. This way your data is fully secure and private with the added ability that you can take part in a “bigger picture” involved in improving health

Key features of the database

  • Ability to link many farmers to one or more veterinary practices for easy monitoring and interaction with your vet. Your practice can set up its own disease control program which can track progress over time.
  • Farmers can also link to a monitoring organisation with more restricted access providing a system for regional or national disease control
  • LabsĀ can also link to the database to enter lab results directly into the program on your behalf saving time and money

Myhealthyherd is more than just a health plan!
