Getting Started

Whether you are new to Myhealthyherd, or you an existing customer wanting to get the most out of newly improved program, getting started is simple.

New to Myhealthyherd

You can start using Myhealthyherd in minutes, using our fast and secure registration process.

When you click on ‘Register as Vet’, you will first be asked to check whether or not the veterinary practice where you work is already registered;  just enter the first part of your postcode in the designated cell and click on the Search button.

• If your practice is registered, simply select it from the list and then click ‘I work at this veterinary practice’
• If your practice is not found, you need to click ‘Register my veterinary practice’

Whichever option you select, simply enter the basic information requested on the subsequent screens – no credit card details are required.

Those vets registering a practice for the first time will become the account manager, providing immediate access to the site.  If you are registering at a pre-existing practice, you will need to be validated by the account manager – they will receive an email notifcation that you are waiting to be approved – until then, you will be able to view the demo farm of a guest practice, allowing you to have a look around the site!

Existing Myhealthyherd Customers

We are changing all log-in details and your email address will now become your username; this makes it easier for you to remember your username and also makes password retrieval quicker and simpler if required.

• Using the new log-in page, enter your username and password, as before
• If you do not currently have a password, you will need to enter the default (11111111) – you should change this as soon as you access the site
• On the next screen, you will be asked to confirm your email address
• You will then receive a validation email (to keep your account secure)

Once you have validated your email address, you will be able to access the site as before. The first screen that you will see, the Practice Dashboard, is largely unchanged (at the moment!) – from here you can access practice-based reports and carry out any necessary administration, such as registering new farms.

To work with a particular client, just select their name from the drop-down list as before.  You will then be taken to that farm’s homepage, which has quick-link buttons for the most frequently used modules and an easy-to-navigate menu bar at the top.  Don’t worry – although the site may look very different, all of your existing data will still be there, unaltered!

If you need to return to the Practice Dashboard to switch farms, or for any other reason, just click on the ‘My Practice’ link underneath the logo on the right-hand side of the header.

We think that the new site is much more user-friendly and easier to navigate than previously. However, if you do need a bit more help, there are some hints and tips on the home page and a link to the Getting Started guide;  there are also help manuals for each health module and video tutorials will be appearing over the coming weeks.
