Nuffield Scholar, Ailish Moriarty, has recently published her report “Assess The Role Of Milk Screening For Disease Within The Development Of An Effective Herd Health System”.

The paper is an in-depth review of how milk surveillance schemes can encourage farmers to be more proactive in managing herd health. Ailish considers how stakeholders can work together to achieve better herd health outcomes and looks at the value of risk-based approaches such as the UK’s National Johne’s Programme, as well as the part that evidence-based tools such as Myhealthyherd play in effective decision-making for vets and farmers.

The full paper can be downloaded here.
